Disney- Day 2

After such a long day of traveling the day before, it wasn't easy getting up in the morning.

I was pretty excited about our destination though.
We were going to the place dreams come true:
The Magic Kingdom!

They had already decorated for Halloween, which was pretty neat!

It didn't take long before I finally saw it.
I've seen so many pictures of this castle, but nothing could prepare me for seeing it in real life.

I would've sat and stared at that castle all day, but The Keeper insisted we go find some rides.
We headed off to Tomorrowland.

I was a bit disappointed that our first ride was the People Mover. Lame.
The Keeper pointed out that it was one of the few rides I could actually stay out and enjoy though.
I suppose she was right. I had to spend most rides peeking out from the safety of her purse.
They don't make safety harnesses small enough for me (I have no idea why...no consideration for tiny dolls like myself!)

At least the ride gave us a good view of Tomorrowland.

The next ride was a little more up to my speed:
Space Mountain!

We headed to Fantasyland next. I thought this sign was pretty cool.
Unfortunately, a lot of Fantasyland was under construction.
It seems we were just a bit too early for their big expansion of the place.

The Keeper insisted that I must ride on this ride...It's a Small World.
It didn't take me long to discover why she thought I would like it.

The place was filled with dolls!
It was pretty neat seeing so many in one place, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for them.
Can you imagine being stuck in one place, singing and dancing to the same song over and OVER?
I think I'd rather be a shelf sitter!

After some lunch and a nap in a nice, dark place (okay, okay...a visit to The Hall of Presidents. It seemed like a good nap place to me though. Don't tell The Keeper's husband, but I know I saw her doze off too!), we visited the other two mountains:
Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain!

I was very careful about peeking out during our Splash Mountain ride. I did not want to walk around in wet clothes the rest of the day.
The Keeper's method of staying dry looked even less appealing...it appeared she tried to climb into her husband's arm pit during the big drop! Gross.

We even got to ride on that cool riverboat back there! It was pretty relaxing ride...and a nice break from those big mountain rides!

The Keeper and her husband were pretty anxious to ride this since it had been redone since they visited last. They said some of the improvements were cool, but the ride seemed a whole lot shorter than it once was.
I didn't mind.
Johnny Depp kept popping up randomly throughout the ride....I can't complain about that!

I only showed you guys some of the highlights of Magic Kingdom.
We actually rode just about every single ride and saw pretty much every single show.
It was amazing.
We even stayed late for the firework show.

Isn't the castle gorgeous at night!?
We sat on a bench for a long while after the park closed, waiting for the crowds to clear out a little, and just enjoyed this lovely view.
It was a pretty fantastic day.

Feeling Yucky

I've been hard at work on my Disney pictures, but I had to take a break from trying to post them today.

You see, The Keeper is feeling yucky.
She has a pretty bad tummy ache and cold chills.

She was so good about carefully watching what she eats ever since her gallbladder was removed in April...but I think she's gotten too careless lately. I'd fuss at her, but she feels too bad for that.

Instead, I'm snuggling on the couch with her. We're about to watch Project Runway...that always cheers us both up.

Disney- Day 1

I finally stopped procrastinating and started working on my Disney pictures...
It seems that vacation took more out of me than I expected!

Anyway, here's Day 1 of the trip:

We had to be at the airport super early...The Keeper had to be up and ready to leave the house at 6 AM!
I don't really do mornings...so I chose to sleep in my travel case in The Keeper's purse (I would've killed her if she had forgotten me...so that was my safest option!)

Unfortunately, she made me wake up before boarding the plane. She seemed to think I should be awake for my very first flight on an airplane.

It was a good thing she had a grande sized Starbucks coffee waiting for me when I got up.

Flying was pretty awesome though...so I guess I couldn't be too mad at her.
It was pretty amazing seeing what appeared to be a miniature version of my city.

Once we landed, we hurried to our hotel to drop off some of our things, and immediately set off for Downtown Disney!
We were tired, but way too excited to waste any time resting.

I thought this was a very appropriate sign to begin our trip with:

Downtown Disney is pretty neat...with lots to see.
There's tons of shops and restaurants.
We bought quite a few goodies that day.

Can you believe this dragon is made entirely out of Legos?!

Watch out for dinosaurs!
This place looked like a neat place to eat, but we decided to look around a little bit more for food
(even though we were starving by now!).

I thought this place looked really cool!

It was even cooler on the inside!
There was so much to look at, I almost forgot to eat!

Here's a better picture of the view from our table.

We did some serious shopping after we ate.
Now this is a dollhouse I wouldn't mind living in!
The Keeper said it was just for display...and we wouldn't have room for it even if it was for sale.
She always has to rain on my parade. ;)

We ended the evening splitting this awesome dessert at Ghiradelli. It was SO good.
I wish I could go back and get another one right now actually...

It had been a long day and I was relieved to finally get back to our hotel room to crash.

Back Home

Hey guys!
Just a quick note to let you know I got home from Disney.
I'm still recovering from vacation laziness.
It was so much fun!

I'll be editing my pictures this week and hopefully I'll have them up for you soon!

At the Airport

Well, we've made it to the airport and gotten through that awful security.

We'll be boarding in twenty minutes...I'd be nervous about my first flight, but I'm far too tired.

Seriously, 7 AM shouldn't even exist on the clock.
Thank goodness for Starbucks.

Almost Time!

You guys, things are getting serious here.
We leave for Disney TOMORROW!

I'm all packed and ready to go.
We have to leave the house at 6 AM. I've already told The Keeper that I will be sleeping in my travel case in her purse so there will be no need to wake me up.

I may do a few mini posts from the iPhone while I'm there, but I'll go into much more detail once we get back.

I am SO excited!

My Friend, Bliss

I'd like for you guys to meet my friend, Bliss.

Can you believe The Keeper and Scribble created her?
She's very friendly...and it's handy to have a friend so much larger than me!

Bliss is a bit nervous today.
The Keeper is taking her to be entered into the craft show at the fair.
She's a little afraid about being on display in front of so many people.

I think she's going to do just great though.

See you in a couple of weeks, Bliss!

You can see more pictures of Bliss on The Keeper's post about her here.

I hope you guys are having a great Labor Day weekend!
