Trip to Hot Springs - Day 2

Our second day of the trip, we visited Garvan Woodland Gardens.
We thought we were just going to spend one...maybe two hours there. We ended up spending three hours there, and we barely scratched the surface!
Next time we go, we're going to devote an entire day to this place. It was amazing!

(Sorry, you're going to get lots of scenic pictures in this post. This place was too gorgeous not to take photos non stop!)

This guy was gorgeous and he knew it. He was a bit of a show off...but I guess I can't really blame him.

Look! I found a tree my size!
I couldn't resist the temptation to climb a tree.

I enjoyed relaxing by the brook.
It was SO nice not to have to worry about anything for a few hours.

It was so peaceful.

The next bridge was my absolute favorite place. It was called the Half Moon Bridge...and it was gorgeous!

I found a perfect little spot just my size to relax for a little while.

There was this cute little train garden!

I wanted to ride the train and visit the little town, but there were signs everywhere that made it pretty clear I could do nothing of the sort. Oh well.

Before we left, we visited the Anthony Chapel.

Would you believe I was so taken by the beauty of this place, I forgot to have my picture taken!?
Oh well...maybe next time.

This is the bell tower outside of the chapel.
It was playing all sorts of pretty hymns as we approached.

It was a short weekend trip, but it was pretty amazing.
Now I'm ready to go on my next adventure!
(At least its starting to get warm out...so we might actually start leaving the house again, lol.)

Trip to Hot Springs! Day One

After months of being stuck inside with nothing but work to do, The Keeper finally took me on a trip!
Her husband surprised her with a trip to Hot Springs, AR to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary.
With it being their anniversary and all, I thought for sure they wouldn't let me go...but they were more than happy to bring me along.

We first visited Hot Springs Mountain Tower.

Yep! We went all the way to the top!
I didn't take any pictures of myself up there because it was SO windy!
But this was the view:

After we came down the tower, I did make sure to get a picture of myself on the mountain!

Next we visited the little aquarium. There wasn't much to it, but it was still fun.
I loved the lion fish.

This great big tortoise was my favorite though. She was so sweet...she even gave me a ride!

Next, we took a stroll down the main street. We did some shopping, and ate lunch.
There were lots of pretty places to stop and take photos as we walked.

We ended our first day at The Gangster Museum...and you'll never believe who I met there!

Yep, that's me and Al Capone!

Our second day was at Garvan Woodland Gardens, but that place was so gorgeous, I'm going to have to give it its own blog post! Be back soon with the rest. :)

Things are getting a bit hairy around here...

I have been SO busy lately.
This new job of mine is hard work, but it's pretty fun...

As you can see, I've had my hands full with these Pocket Fluffs!

These guys have just graduated from my training program and have all been properly groomed. Time to get them all adopted out to new homes!

These two are a special pair, off to a fellow doll friend of mine! I know she's going to have lots of fun with them!

I've also discovered that Pocket Fluffs don't just come in one size. This little guy was the runt.

I thought he needed some special attention since he's so little.

Luckily, things have quieted down now. All but two have been adopted into new homes.
The Keeper promised me I'd get a little break after this...and maybe even some time for a real adventure again!

Pssst...want a Pocket Fluff of your own?
Their adoption site is here!

Monster Grooming

You know, I try to keep busy around here.
It's been tough during these cold months because none of us have wanted to get out of the house.

I think I've found my new calling though...

These new little monsters have started showing up around here.
The Keeper calls them Pocket Fluffs.

With all that fur, they shed A LOT.
I decided someone was going to have to start grooming them or we'd all be knee deep in monster fur.

Luckily, this little guy seemed to enjoy the attention.
It really was pretty fun.

I also found that Pocket Fluffs respond well to positive reinforcement.
Perhaps I'm the next Monster Whisperer?

This little fellow found a new home really quickly, but The Keeper promised me there would be many more. I hope she's right...I'm kind of wanting one to keep for myself!

A Teensy Friend

A new friend followed me home from Target today!

Isn't she the cutest?

I think I'll have to go back soon to see if I'm lucky enough to have another one follow me home!

Mmmm...now this is a cupcake!

In case you're wondering...yes, I ate the whole thing.
And no, I don't regret it one bit!

Happy weekend, you guys. :)

Awesome New Outfit

I told you guys I couldn't wait to show you what I spent my paycheck on...now prepare to be jealous!

Oh yes, I finally have a dress to wear with my crazy Mickey shoes!

I was so sad I couldn't find any shirts in my size when I went to Disney World...so you can imagine how THRILLED I was when I discovered this!

Yes, I will confess I purchased it faster than you can say "paypal."

I love it so much, I thought it deserved a fancy "model" picture....just don't tell Bea, she'll make fun of me.

This adorable Mickey dress came from RedCarpetCouture on etsy...and I am seriously going to have to beg her to make more things in my size! :)

New Pal

Hey guys!
How is everyone doing?

I've been hanging out with my new Cheshire friend.
He's so lucky...he's moving to Scotland next week.
I hope he'll take lots of pictures to send to me once he gets there.

Anyway, things have been a bit mad around here since he appeared!

In other news, I got my first real paycheck from working as assistant photographer at Scribble Dolls...and I kinda already spent the whole thing. I'll have to show you what I bought once it gets here!

Moving

Last week was crazy!

I know it looks like I'm in an episode of Hoarders, but actually I am helping The Keeper move.
She had been trying to sell her house for a year, and last week it finally sold.

As you can see, there was tons to do...which is why even I was recruited.

Thank goodness we had tons of boxes! The Keeper and her husband have WAY too much stuff!

I decided to take a break in my favorite room in the house.
The Keeper had the hardest time saying goodbye to this room.
She got teary eyed every time she came in here.

This room was her son's nursery.
She and her husband spent many hours painting a mural in here for him. It turned out pretty awesome.

This is just one little glimpse of the room. The mural covered all four walls.
They always knew they'd have to say goodbye to it, but it was still pretty hard.

The Keeper keeps telling me selling the house is a positive thing, but I get the feeling she's just trying to convince herself every time she says it.
I mean, if it was so positive, why did she shed so many tears?

Anyway, I'm just glad she let me come along to lift her spirits.
I'm happy to report it's been a few days and she's feeling much better about it now.
She promises me that this is a sign that better things are coming.

I know one thing...I hope we don't have to move again for awhile. That was HARD work.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I know I'm way too late about wishing everyone a merry Christmas. Sorry about that...I was just having too much fun with the new toys, I guess!
Did you guys have a good Christmas though? We sure did!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to 2013.
I'm hoping it'll bring lots of new adventures for me and all my friends.

Anyone making any new year's resolutions?
I'd say my resolution was to lose weight (since that seems to be a pretty common one), but dolls don't seem to have that problem.

Anyway, I hope you guys have a great time celebrating tonight...and be careful if you're going out!
We're just going to have a nice quiet evening in the doll room tonight. No wild partying for me.

Happy New Year!

A New Job

Hi guys!

First of all, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes.
It meant a lot to me.
My friends all surprised me with a party...it feels pretty good to know I'm loved.
I can't wait to share the awesome present The Keeper and Scribble got for me.
I still haven't taken pictures of it yet...I know, I know...I'm way too lazy.

I'm really sorry I've been in such a funk lately.
The Keeper and Scribble finally opened their online shop and they've been working nonstop on it ever since.
I guess I was starting to feel a little left out.
Scribble had a talk with The Keeper for me though.
They decided I needed a job...so you're now looking at the new Photography Assistant of Scribble Dolls.

I get to pick the perfect spot for photographing the dolls.
(Yes, I am walking around barefoot in the cold. That's just the way I roll.)

I have to make sure their hair is all in place.
They have to look just perfect for the photos!

But my favorite part of the job...?

I get to spend special one on one time with each doll.
These girls get nervous about having their picture taken and getting ready for their future homes.
It does sound pretty scary.
I get to spend time chatting with them and putting them at ease.
The Keeper tells me I'm pretty good at that part too.

Anyway, how is everyone out in blogland?
Are you getting ready for Christmas?
Now that I'm starting to feel like myself again, I need to get the other dolls in the Christmas spirit!
